Moreau Lake State Park celebrates NY state park centennial with boat float
MOREAU, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Moreau Lake State Park is participating in the New York State Park System Centennial with a boat float on Sunday, Aug. 4, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The park hopes to gather 100 boaters, including kayaks, canoes, and paddleboats.
Boats will launch at 9 a.m., and a commemorative photo will be taken by a drone at 10 a.m. Park guests are welcome to stay past the event's conclusion; personal flotation devices are mandatory.
It costs $10 to enter the park, and attendees will receive a limited-edition commemorative sticker. Moreau Lake State Park Manager Kevin Dinon said he hopes the lake will be filled with boats of all shapes and sizes at the centennial celebration.
