Motorcyclist dies after accident
A 25-year-old motorcyclist injured in an accident a day ago, has died, police said on Thursday.
The motorcyclist had been involved in a crash on Wednesday in Paphos, when a car hit him in Chlorakas.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
Following the crash, the man was taken to Paphos general hospital, where doctors determined he had a broken jaw and right leg, as well as internal bleeding.
Due to the severity of his condition, the man was transferred to Nicosia general, where he was treated until he died in the night.
Paphos police said that a 43-year-old and 41-year-old were arrested for the accident, originally, with the 43-year-old saying he was the driver.
However, during police checks it emerged that the 41-year-old was the driver.
Police also found that the younger man had caused a similar accident in 2019, when the other individual was seriously injured again.
The 41-year-old is expected in court for sentencing for the 2019 crash.
