Fixtures for CAF Women’s Champions League | COSAFA Qualifier 2024

The 2022 champions Green Buffaloes from Zambia will open their CAF Women’s Champions League | COSAFA Qualifier 2024 campaign with South African side University of the Western Cape at the Mpira Stadium in Blantyre, Malawi on August 15.

The teams will clash in Group A at 15h00 CAT, which will be the second game of the day after Herentals Queens of Zimbabwe and FC Ongos from Namibia clash in the other match in the pool at 12h00.

It is the start of a 10-day dash in the race to qualify for the continental finals of the CAF Champions League that are to be held later in 2024, with only the winner of the COSAFA qualifiers sealing their spot.

Mamelodi Sundowns, who were regional and continental champions in 2021 and 2023, have already secured their place in those finals as holders.

Debutants Gaborone United from Botswana and UD de Lichinga of Mozambique get the Group B action under way on August 16 at 12h00, while later on home side Ascent Academy of Malawi and Young Buffaloes from Eswatini will face-off at 15h00.

Each team will play three games in the pool stage, with the top two in each group advancing to the semifinals. Those knockout games will be played on August 22, with the final set for August 24. There is no third-place play-off.
