The WRD awaits sanction of funds to start cleaning Buckingham Canal, Otteri Nullah, and Virugambakkam-Arumbakkam Canal that pass through core parts of the city. It has submitted an estimate of ₹11.77 crore for the project, which will be split into 36 packages
