Amsterdam preps for the 8th Annual RiverFest

AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- The Amsterdam Tourism, Marketing, and Recreation Department is gearing up for a day of live music, food, and fireworks at the 8th Annual RiverFest. The festival is on Saturday, Aug. 3, at Riverlink Park from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Families can spend the day on the Mohawk River and enjoy food from more than 50 vendors, food trucks, a free bounce house, and inflatable activities. At 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m., the Amsterdam X-Squad Water Ski will take to the river for a water ski show.

Additionally, attendees can sit back for live performances from Diane Eames and Steve Cowles at 7 p.m. A fireworks show will close the festival after the Eames and Cowles performance. For more information, call Michele Pawlik at (518) 841-4307.
