Actress Erica Ash of 'Survivor's Remorse' dies at 46
(KTLA) -- Actress Erica Ash, known for her role in the Starz dramedy "Survivor's Remorse" has passed away. She was 46 years old.
She also appeared on sketch comedy shows "MADtv" and "The Big Gay Sketch Show" as well as BET's "Real Husbands of Hollywood."
Comedian Loni Love confirmed Ash's passing in a post to Instagram on Monday.
"I am sad to confirm my friend and fellow actress Erica Ashe’s passing," she wrote. "Erica was talented and hilarious whether it was the show 'Survivor’s Remorse' or 'Madtv' she would put her all into her work. She would always just be there, now she’s gone. My sincere condolences to her family and fans."
Love posted a photo of herself alongside Ash on the set of the former talk show "The Real," which Love co-hosted for eight seasons.
BET honored Ash in a post on social media as well.
"Known for being equal parts witty and funny, Erica starred in BET favorites such as legal drama 'In Contempt' and reality spoof 'Real Husbands of Hollywood,'" the caption read. "We send our deepest condolences and love to her parents, siblings, friends, and family. Fly high Queen."
Comedian and actor Mike Epps paid tribute to his "Survivor's Remorse" costar.
"RIP ERICA. Gone too soon. She was such a great person to work with, full of life and funny and talent. You left a great mark on earth," he wrote in the caption alongside a photo of the two on the set of the show.
Journalist Roland Martin called Ash an "amazing talented, funny, and serious actress," in a post to X, formerly Twitter.
"I adored her," he wrote. "She was serious about politics and would have been one of (Vice President) Kamala Harris' biggest supporters. Pray for her family."
Ash's cause of death and the date of her passing has not yet been revealed.
