Dr. Jacob Abebrese, an Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgeon has called for a national policy in Ghana to assess the hearing condition of all newborns. He emphasized that such a policy would empower the Ghana Health Service (GHS) to screen, identify, and provide services to babies with hearing impairments.
