Chelsea’s relentless pursuit of Samu Omorodion continues, with the Blues gearing up for a fresh approach despite Atletico Madrid’s hefty demands.
According to Mundo Deportivo via Sport Witness, Chelsea remain keen on the 20-year-old striker, even after multiple rejections from the Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid.
The La Liga giants planning to integrate Omorodion into their first team, are holding firm on a €70 million price tag.
The West Londoners are in the market for a young, promising forward rather than a marquee name, despite past links to stars like Victor Osimhen. Earlier, Chelsea made a strong push for Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran, now likely heading to West Ham United. Their interest in Omorodion also saw a substantial bid of £42 million, which Atletico rejected.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is keen on securing a new centre-forward, potentially paving the way for Armando Broja’s departure. Atletico’s Diego Simeone, however, sees Omorodion as a key player for next season, especially following Alvaro Morata’s move to AC Milan.
Omorodion faces a crucial decision: stay at Atletico for ample first-team opportunities or join Chelsea for a high-profile, big-money move. As Chelsea readies another bid, it remains to be seen if they will meet Atletico’s steep €70 million valuation.
