I’m 37 but my ‘biological age’ is 28 – don’t ignore ‘upstream causes’ of wrinkles, get ‘rich people’ treatment for less
A BIOHACKER has found a way to take anti-aging to the next level and make it more accessible.
Though the rich spend six figures of fancy health plans to be younger, his company has a cheaper option that could shave years off your life — and even your face.
Simon Sakhai of Jung+ is 37 years old, yet he says his “biological age” remains at 28, and he’s determined to make biohacking more accessible to others.
“When it comes to ‘aging’ it’s important to understand that ‘aging’ is a complex process,” he said.
“And that by the time you see a wrinkle, there are 10 plus different types of damage that happened further upstream that allowed you to see the wrinkle in the first place.”
He added that the issues could be due to lesser talked-about causes of skin damage within the skincare industry.
CAUSES OF AGING
Sakhai highlighted that past habits including those leading to inflammation, exposure to stressors, and a poor diet could be the culprit for skin that could use some life.
“These more upstream causes can include the buildup of senescent cells, the loss of functioning of the fibroblasts, the formation of AGE’s, and the reduction of skin NAD+ levels,” he said.
He added why most may have not heard of those terminologies before.
“While these are basic terminology for longevity science, they simply were not on the radar of the skincare industry since their understanding of skin was so superficial and one dimensional.”
Sakhai said there’s no single magic ingredient to slow down aging, but many have taken to longevity clinics for a more youthful appearance.
He recommended listing out causes of aging and to tackle each one with a purpose.
“This is what happens at elite longevity clinics, and why celebrities seem to defy aging, they have seriously well-trained integrative practitioners that can map these out for the clients,” he said.
Sakhai also shared his own must-have list of supplements to take for anti-aging.
“Niacinamide, spermidine, Astaxanthin, collagen peptides, ceramides, hyaluronic acid, n-acetyl glucosamine, vitamin C, and vitamin E,” he said.
“You can get all of these ingredients separately yourself, but we’ve tried to make it easy to include all of these in our Cellular Skin Renewal protocol,” he added.
The Cellular Skin Renewal protocol is sold for $90 on the Jung+ website.
AGING GRACEFULLY
Sakhai highlighted the complexity of aging and where the professionals come in.
“Rich people, if they’re lucky, have high, functional doctors that are trained in longevity and take a systemic approach to health,” he said.
He said this includes both lifestyle and supplements to live longer, but it comes at a hefty price tag.
“This longevity doctor guidance can cost $100,000 a year or more,” he said.
“Whereas a complete supplement protocol from Jung+ can cost you as little as $117 per month.”
He added that buying the equivalent of each ingredient could run up to $238 per month on Amazon.
“Meanwhile, we’ve probably invested 1,000 times the amount of time and effort to research and develop those protocols than any single longevity doctor could take on,” Sakhai said.
“We took the complexity of the functional approach, and created a product ecosystem that mirrors the framework of these massive longevity clinics.
“[It’s] a simple, self guided solution that helps you pick from a list of pre-curated longevity goals.
“We then deliver complete, pre-formulated longevity supplement protocols that work synergistically together.”
He added that a basic formulation should not negate the science behind protocols like Jung+.
“On the face of it, the products are simple,” he said.
“But from the back, an incredible amount of research and engineering was involved to translate the latest scientific advancements into products people can just order and take in supplement form.”
