Strictly in new fix row as furious fans slam new signing with YEARS of dance experience
STRICTLY Come Dancing is in a new fix row after furious fans have slam one of the new new signings with YEARS of dance experience.
Earlier this week The Sun revealed that the 25-year-old, who shot to fame on Love Island in 2022, has signed up to take part in the BBC show.
Strictly fans have said the same thing about Tasha Ghouri signing up for Strictly[/caption] Tasha pictured with Strictly pro Johannes Radebe[/caption]However, some fans have taken to Reddit to point out her dancing background.
One wrote on the discussion website: “Isn’t Tasha already a dancer? No one else will stand a chance.”
Another pointed out: “…But she’s literally a professional dancer?? Not even a musician or theatre actor who has had dance training, she’s a literal professional dancer.
“I get that having celebrities who have dance experience has always been a thing on strictly, but it’s just frustrating and uncomfortable watching someone completely destroy the competition only to end up in the bottom because people don’t want to root for someone who is already a seasoned dancer.”
A third chimed in: “They’ve had many contestants on the show before with some degree of experience in dance before so Tasha is no different…”
“Tasha’s been constantly saying she wants to do this show so I’m happy for her and she’s literally one of my favourite islanders but the trolling on Strictly is arguably worse than any other UK show and her having a dance background already sets her up for hate unfortunately,” a fourth added.
Tasha, who was born completely dead and wears a cochlear impant, graduated from Creative Academy with a First Class Honours degree in Dance Performance.
She’s taken part in one of Europe’s biggest dance competitions Move It and has appeared in music videos.
The reality star also loves to show off her dance videos with fans on her social media regularly.
Tasha was previously linked to former Strictly pro Giovanni Pernice.
A source told us: “Tasha has everything it takes to be a top drawer Strictly signing.
“Whilst fans who like a journey will be irked she is a professional dancer, others who enjoy watching incredible moments from the off will be more than satisfied.
“She’s also become a powerful force for good campaigning and raising awareness for those with disabilities.
“The Giovanni link is unfortunate to say the least, but above all else Tasha is a gorgeous girl who deserves this amazing opportunity.”
Gio and Tasha connected via Instagram and messaged for months before he wined and dined her in January 2022, however their fling was said to have fizzled out.
Tasha revealed she was ‘desperate’ to go on Strictly – nearly two years before she signed up.
Speaking to On Demand Entertainment at the TV Choice Awards, she gushed: “It’s honestly one of my biggest dreams to do it so hopefully one day I’ll be able to do Strictly.”
When interviewer Lucy Jones raised concerns about her dancing history, Tasha explained: “I know but, do you know what? I’ve never actually trained in ballroom or salsa.
“I trained in commercial so I’ve never done all these styles before so it would be a challenge to me.
“I’ll probably have two left feet doing salsa. It’s a whole different ball game.”
Tasha took part in Love Island back in 2022.
The star placed fourth alongside her boyfriend Andrew Le Page.
The pair are still going strong, having bought a property together.
