Survivors of the Sept. 11 attacks, many of whom battled cancer and other life-threatening illnesses brought on by the toxic debris the Twin Towers left behind, were devastated and enraged to learn the terrorists who plotted the assault on America have struck plea deals that will see them escape the death penalty.
