My classmate gave her baby a royal-inspired ‘horse girl’ name – people say the moniker is as ‘sad’ as her beige nursery
A STUDENT revealed the quirky name their classmate gave her daughter along with their disappointment that she didn’t commit to the theme.
Critics groaned over the royal-inspired name, which many said would mark the baby as a “horse girl.”

“One of my classmates named their beautiful blessing Sadler Reign,” they said.
They added that, as if the unconventional name wasn’t enough, photos of the baby’s room were even more disheartening.
“Disappointed the nursery didn’t lean more into the horse theme,” they said.
They joked that the situation was a “tragedeigh,” a Reddit term for a wildly misspelled or made-up name.
“A horse girl tragedeigh,” they said.
A photo revealed a neutral-colored corner of a room decked out with brown and beige baby clothes, a lamp, an armchair, bookshelves, and a sign that read “Sadler Reign, due July 2024.”
Critics echoed their sentiments and explained that they weren’t sure what they were more let down by.
Many said they had a bone to pick with the parent’s name decision.
“Sadler Reign angers me on a cellular level, and I can’t place why,” said one commenter.
“Giddyup? It’s a giddy nope for me,” said another.
“That baby name sounds like it belongs in a fairy tale about a horse-riding princess,” said a third.
“Sadler? I barely know her!” joked a fourth.
One commenter pointed out that the child will have a depressing nickname.
“Her nickname will be Sad,” they said.
They added that the beige-themed baby room wasn’t much better[/caption]A few people were irritated that she spelled her daughter’s middle name “Reign” and not “Rein.”
“If it has to be this name, it should be spelled Rein, like horses have, not queens. At least be consistent, dammit,” a critic griped.
Others insisted that the home decor was just as bad, if not worse.
“What I find worse than this poor tragedeigh is how many women for some reason think the said beige aesthetic is the sh*t,” said one critic.
“It’s absolutely awful and the last thing you want to style a room for a little baby.”
“I hate sad beige stuff for babies,” agreed another.
“My best friend and a work colleague are pregnant. They’re having girls.
“I’ve bought stuff for the babies. Colorful, no beige at all.”
