Van Jones says 'math' — and a 'flimsy' 'Blue Wall' brick — supports this Harris VP pick
The math adds up for Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro.
So says political commentator Van Jones, who agreed with former Republican Rep. Charlie Dent on Thursday that Shapiro makes a formidable choice to become Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate.
"The math is the math is the math," Jones emphasized on "The Situation Room." Harris is performing "reasonably well" in Michigan and Wisconsin at the moment, but "she's still struggling in Pennsylvania."
"That is a very important consideration," he said.

While Democrats may be "swooning" over other surging politicians, "there's a hope and a prayer on the part of Kamala's folks that maybe if you put in a [Sen.] Mark Kelly of Arizona, that maybe you help open up that Sun Belt lane."
The Harris camp may think Kelly could help her pick up a state such as Georgia, Nevada or Arizona. The reality, he said, is "the most logical pathway for her is still those "Blue Wall" states."
"And the brick in that wall that's the flimsiest, that's the least secure, is Pennsylvania. And she's got a great governor sitting there looking at her right at the top of that state," he concluded.
