'Jeanine maybe sit this one out': Reporter slams Fox News host over 'sober' Harris dig
A political reporter for Rolling Stone was among a chorus of people online who mocked Fox News host Jeanine Pirro, who attacked Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday, asking if she's been "sober" during the Biden administration.
In a clip posted to social media, Pirro said Harris' "past is something she should be embarrassed of."
"Her past 3 1/2 years in the White House have been a joke. You have to look at this woman and say, you know, is she sober for the last 3 1/2 years? I mean she just laughed her way through it."
The remark drew derision from many on social media, including reporter Nikki McCann Ramirez, who retorted back on X: "Jeanine maybe sit this one out."
The Fox News personality has repeatedly been accused of having been drinking before going on-air in "The Five," including in 2022 when she struggled to say the name of Leon Panetta, the former director of the CIA and Secretary of Defense.
At the time, strategist Rick Wilson described Pirro as "drunk even by naval standards."
Pirro was dubbed "Judge Box of Wine" in a 2021 Molly Jong-Fast piece for The Daily Beast, who remarked that Pirro brought "breath heavy with shaming and possibly rosé."

A year earlier, Pirro the internet also wondered aloud whether Pirro was drinking before a Saturday night show due to her demeanor and slightly disheveled look. The network told Raw Story she was broadcasting from her home for the first time and encountered technical difficulties that impacted the quality of her show, including the loss of a teleprompter.
Pirro's reputation even earned a 2019 skit on "Saturday Night Live."
Needless to say, Pirro's "sobriety" remark didn't go unnoticed on social media.
Jon Evans, former assistant athletic director for Ole Miss who does communications for the PGA Tour, jabbed Pirro on X.
"This is rich coming from Judge Franzia," he said, echoing Wilson's dig earlier this month calling Pirro "Judge Quaalude Franzia."
The wine businessman Fred Franzia died two years ago. At the time of his death, his company, Bronco Wine," said that “Core to his belief was a vision that wine should be enjoyed and consumed by every American table."
Others piled on to criticize Pirro.
"Judge box of wine Jeanine needs to read the room and traffic signs," chided "@Out5p0ken.
"Projection is really strong with this one," wrote James Fox on X.
