The sheriff of Sangamon County, Ill., responded to questions about warnings signs conveyed by Sonya Massey's mother the day before she was shot to death in her home by a sheriff's deputy. In an interview, Sheriff Jack Campbell also discussed the deputy's background and training. The former deputy, Sean Grayson, has pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges.
