Italy, China sign 3-year action plan as Meloni tries to reset ties

BEIJING, China: Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said in the Chinese capital that her country has signed a three-year action plan with China to implement past agreements and experiment with new forms of cooperation.

Meloni is trying to reset ties with China as fears of a trade war with the European Union are linked to interest in attracting Chinese investment in auto manufacturing and other sectors.
