Love Island’s Mimii reveals Joey Essex secretly apologised off camera after villa clashes as they end feud
LOVE Island winner Mimii Ngulube revealed Joey Essex apologised to her and Josh Oyinsan off camera after a serious of clashes in the villa.
In the lead up to Monday night’s final there were a number of uncomfortable incidents involving Joey, Sean Stone, Mimii and Josh.

While some fans think Joey and Sean’s sniping helped propel Mimii and Josh to first place.
But on today’s Lorraine, Mimii and Josh revealed there were no hard feelings and the hatchet has been well and truly buried.
Josh said: “When I first came in me and Joey got on really well. Obviously everyone saw what happened with me and him, the arguments.
“I wish it went a bit different with it to be honest but we came out of there with no hard feelings for Joey and we wish him the best with Jessy and we hope that they find what they are looking for together.”
Mimii said: “In the environment we were in it was quite intense. In there everyone knows everyone’s business.
“I’m glad it was left in the villa and he apologised and I’m not one to keep holding a grudge or anything like that. We wish each other well.”
Joey and girlfriend Jessy Potts revealed a special message for the two, in which they said: “Congratulations Josh and Mimii… Well done, you deserved it. We love you.”
Following their win, Josh and Mimii said dealing with comments from others was the hardest part of the show, particularly having “back and forth with Joey”.
Fans struggled to watch at times as Joey and Sean continually insisted that Mimii and former partner Ayo still had feelings for each other.
Things came to a head over the so called Secret Mission, which saw Mimii rope in Joey to ask Ayo to discreetly meet her on the terrace.
The boys ended up rowing as Josh tried to find out what his partner had been up to.
Mimii admitted that she had asked Joey to help her speak privately with Ayo, but claimed it was only so they could close the chapter and move on.
However, Joey seemed to remember a slightly different version of events.
He hinted at there being more to the story when speaking with Josh, saying: “I had loyalty to Mimii and still do. Hence the reason I’m not telling you exactly word for word and in detail what actually happened.”
The winners appeared on today’s edition of Lorraine[/caption] Joey and Jessy are now exclusive[/caption]Both men began to raise their voices as they flung accusations at each other.
Joey later chose to roast Josh over the whole incident during his rap in the talent show.
