I used Lotto ‘hack’ to DOUBLE my win – now I’m £500k RICHER & ready to splash the cash
A STUNNED mum has banked a cool half-million after using a Lotto “hack” to double her winnings.
Mandy, from Liverpool, banked twice as much as her fellow winners on the People’s Postcode Lottery because of one simple trick.
At first she exclaimed: “I’ve just won a quarter-of-a-million pounds on the Postcode Lottery!”
Then presenter Judie McCourt revealed that she’d actually won double that amount as she played with two tickets.
Centre technician Mandy now plans to celebrate with her three children.
She said: “We’ll definitely go out for a meal somewhere and it won’t be McDonald’s which is their favourite.”
She added that going on holiday with her children would be a top priority.
Mandy has been working in the education department at Southport Hospital for the past three years.
She also said a house move might be on the cards or home renovations as she likes living on her street.
She said, “It’s lovely. Everyone knows each other. We’re always out helping each other as needs be.
“We all get on well. It’s quite a quiet little road.”
She added: “I’m sure we’ll all celebrate tonight with a drink.”
Mandy revealed that she first signed up to play as she liked the charity aspect of People’s Postcode Lottery.
She said: “I thought it was quite a good [lottery] because it was giving back to charities and communities.”
Mandy shared the win with two neighbouring households who both scooped up £250,000.
How does the People's Postcode Lottery work?
ACCORDING to the official website, players sign up with their postcode and pay £12 per month.
They are automatically entered into every draw and prizes are announced every day of the month.
Tickets play for prizes every day of the week – from Monday to Sunday, a ticket could win £1,000 each day in the Daily Prize.
Tickets could also win a jackpot of £30,000 in Saturday and Sunday’s Street Prize draws.
People’s Postcode Lottery also offer a £3 Million Postcode Millions draw each month – and your ticket plays for a share of a £3 Million cash prize fund.
Winners are notified by email, SMS message, mail or phonecall depending on the prize they win.
Jackpot winners are visited by the lottery team in person.
