Larnaca revamps dog beach with free facilities

The dog beach (Spyros Beach) near Larnaca airport has been revamped, the municipality announced on Friday.

According to an announcement from the municipality, beds and umbrellas have been placed for the use of beachgoers who accompany their dogs to the sea.

Their use is free of charge. Biological toilets and waste bins have also been installed on the beach.

Now, dogs and their owners can enjoy walking and swimming with greater ease.

The municipality, as part of its efforts for the proper coexistence of people and animals, in addition to the various measures it implements for the protection of animals has created a functional dog park which offers all the facilities for both dogs and their owners.

The Dog Park officially opened its doors in January 2021 and admission is free of charge.
