Drug investigation leads to arrest for Watervliet man
WATERVLIET, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Watervliet man was arrested following an investigation and is accused of illegally possessing a gun and drugs. Ravon Edmond, 31, faces multiple charges.
On Monday, Watervliet Police executed a search warrant at 500 5th Street as part of a drug sale investigation. Police say during the search, they seized marijuana, cocaine, cash, and a loaded illegally possessed handgun. Edmond was arrested as a result.
Charges:
- Third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance
- Fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Criminal possession of a controlled narcotic
- Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled weapon
- Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
Edmond was arraigned at Watervliet City Court and held at the Albany County Correctional Facility on $20,000 cash bail. Anyone with information regarding illegal drug activities is asked to contact (518) 270-3833.
