Vees trade Lucas Sorace to Chilliwack
PENTICTON, B.C. – The Penticton Vees Junior Hockey Club has traded 2004-born defenceman Lucas Sorace to the Chilliwack Chiefs, in exchange for future considerations, the team announced Friday.
Sorace, 20, had seven points (2G, 5A) in 31 regular season games in the 2023-24 season split between Penticton and Chilliwack. The Port Moody, B.C., product collected three points (1G, 2A) in 22 playoff games. The 6’1, 190-pound defenceman was acquired in December from the Chiefs, in a trade involving 2003-born forward Parker Murray. Sorace returns to Chilliwack where he started his BCHL career. Sorace is committed to Quinnipiac University.
The Vees organization thanks Lucas for his contributions to the team and wishes him all the best in his return to the Chiefs.
