Halle Berry & Ex Olivier Martinez’s Co-parenting Therapy Has Hit an Unexpected, Huge Blunder
Despite their eight-year divorce proceedings ending in 2023, Halle Barry and Olivier Martinez still can’t bury the hatchet. In fact, even though they agreed to “co-parenting therapy” earlier this year, it seems it hit a major snag: Berry claims Martinez has shunned it.
Earlier this year, the pair were ordered to see Dr. Jaye-Jo Portanova, an adult and child psychiatrist, each doing individual sessions, followed by “no less than six” joint sessions to “resolve disputes and conflicts between in an effort to successfully co-parent … in a manner that promotes Maceo’s best interests.”
However, Berry recently claimed, per People, that Martinez hasn’t gone to a single therapy session.
She claimed that Martine “unilaterally terminated” coaching sessions without telling anyone, per documents the outlet obtained from the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles County.
She also claimed that he “has chosen to repeatedly violate agreements and court orders with careless regard,” adding his actions has “conduct harms” to their son, allegedly.
So it seems that nearly a decade later, the pair aren’t allegedly seeing eye to eye just yet.
Back in 2010, Berry started dating French actor Martinez after meeting on set of Dark Tide. Two years later, they got engaged in 2012 and married in 2013.
They welcomed a son named Maceo-Robert in Oct 2013 (and Berry welcomed her daughter in 2008, named Nahla, with Gabriel Aubry).
However, in 2015, Berry and Martinez filed for divorce, but it wasn’t finalized until 2023. Along with the co-parenting classes, Berry agreed to pay $8,000 a month in child support and 4.3% of any income she receives above $2,000,000 in additional support, per People.
