‘Another level’ – Pedro Neto makes admission about future amidst Spurs links

Pedro Neto has offered a potential blow to Tottenham Hotspur by admitting that he remains happy at Wolves and is aiming to take the club to the next level.

It is well documented that Spurs are looking to add more reinforcements to their attack and Neto’s name continues to be mentioned as a key target for the club.

In fact, it was reported by Football Transfers on Friday that Tottenham had stepped up their pursuit of the winger and had spoken to the player’s entourage about personal terms.

The report added that the Portuguese star ‘features prominently’ in Ange Postecoglou’s plans for the upcoming season.

Neto is happy to stay at Wolves

Subsequently, 90 min claimed that even though Liverpool are also eyeing a move for Neto, the player is more likely to end up at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer than he is at Anfield.

However, Neto has now dismissed the transfer rumours by stating that he remains happy at the Molineux Stadium.

He said (via journalist Nathan Judah): “I love this club, I’m really happy to be here and take this team to another level.”

This might have just been the case of Neto giving a media-trained answer. It is hardly surprising that the winger does not want to alienate the Wolves fans.

This certainly does not mean that he would not be open to a move to Spurs if the two clubs can agree a fee.
