China's Zheng Qinwen wins gold in women's Olympic singles tennis

China's Zheng Qinwen claimed the gold medal in the women 's Olympic singles tennis tournament on Saturday after defeating Donna Veki of Croatia in the final.

Zheng won the match 6-2, 6-3 at Roland Garros to claim an historic first singles gold medal for China in Olympic tennis.
