Vinesh Phogat was disqualified from the Paris Olympics 2024 women's wrestling final due to exceeding the weight limit. Phogat had weighed 400 grams more than the permitted limit for the 48kg category competition at the Rio Olympics qualifiers, missing out on a spot for the main event. This is not the first time Phogat has been disqualified from a World Olympic Qualifying event. Other women grapplers in fray also did not make it to the medal round.
