England star Kieran Trippier lined up for shock Premier League transfer from Newcastle to rival club
NEWCASTLE star Kieran Trippier is being lined up with a transfer to West Ham, according to reports.
The defender starred in every England game at the Euros and was a regular for the Magpies last season.
West Ham are ready to make a move for Kieran Trippier[/caption]But he is now 33-years-old and has been linked with a move away from St James’ Park this season amid interest from Saudi Arabian clubs.
West Ham are also showing interest in the right-back and could be set to launch a bid, according to The Telegraph.
New boss Julen Lopetegui has reportedly earmarked the position as one in need of improvement, with Vladimir Coufal occupying the role in recent seasons.
West Ham have tried to sign Manchester United star Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters, but both deals have hit obstacles.
SunSport understands the Hammers are willing to meet United’s £18million valuation of Wan-Bissaka.
And while the defender is open to moving to East London, he has no huge desire to leave United and is refusing to sell himself short.
Wan-Bissaka’s representatives are pushing for United to give the player a chunk of the £18m fee they will receive from West Ham in order to get the deal done this summer.
He wants an increase on his £90,000-a-week salary to join West Ham, which the club are unwilling to offer.
