A THUG who spat at cops on TV and a rioter found with a stone in his trousers have been sentenced today as hundreds are hauled before courts.
Dozens of far-right yobs around the country appearing before judges today amid a crackdown after violent protests swept the UK.
Three rioters are being sentenced at Plymouth Crown Court for their despicable actions, while five thugs will appear in Hartlepool and four in Liverpool Crown Court.
Daniel McGuire, 45, faced a judge in Plymouth, after a court heard he spat at officers and had to be pushed back from a police barricade.
His vile actions were caught on camera as the chaotic scene was broadcast on television.
The defendant appeared in the dock with his right arm in a sling and using a crutch after the violent disorder.
He was sentenced to 26 months today.
Meanwhile, Michael Williams, 51, was sentenced to 32 months today.
A court heard Williams was seen kicking another person during the Plymouth riots and officers found a stone concealed in his jogging bottoms.
District Judge Joanna Matson remanded him into custody ahead of his sentencing.
She told him: “These matters are incredibly serious indeed.
“You have accepted your role in very serious disorder and violence in the city centre that took place on Monday night.
“That kind of behaviour will not be tolerated in this society.”
A third yob, Lucas Ormond Skeaping, 29, will also appear in court after pushing over a 17-year-old who was riding a bike.
The court was told footage found on a camera showed Ormond Skeaping lobbing a full bottle of coke and a rock during the protests.
Meanwhile, in Liverpool, William Morgan, 69, admitted turning up to the city centre armed with a wooden bat and tossing bricks at riot police.
Morgan was today sentenced to, 32 months in prison.
John O’Malley, 33, was also today sentenced to 32 months in prison at Liverpool Crown Court over the Southport riots.
Elsewhere, five more will be handed punishments at Teesside Crown Court for their roles in the Hartlepool disorder.
They include Carl Holliday, 30, who lobbed metal railings at public order cops four times in seven minutes.
Elsewhere, 18-yer-old Cole Stewart will face sentencing on Friday after he pleaded guilty to a charge of violent disorder at Teesside Magistrates’ Court.
The teen was filmed on CCTV throwing bricks at police officers at a violet protest in Darlington, Country Durham, on Monday.
He cried “I’m a child” when cops restrained and cuffed him at the scene.
It comes as more than 120 people have been charged and 430 arrested as prosecutors work “round the clock” to catch as many demonstrators and far-right hate-stirrers as possible.

Last night police chiefs vowed the number would rise following widespread violence, adding: “Be warned — if you have played a role, you can expect a knock at the door.”
And, dawn raids were launched today to arrest violent rioters as CCTV images of suspects were also released in a bid to track down dozens of thugs.
Met Police Chief Sir Mark Rowley said his force smashed its way into the homes of the “most violent” members of last week’s protests in Whitehall and branded them “criminal thugs”.
It comes after Brits came out in force last night to quell riot fears after cops launched the UK’s biggest ever police mobilisation to crush planned carnage.
Never before have 41 out of Britain’s 43 forces been mobilised to intervene in what police expected to be a “busy” night – with 100 areas earmarked for far-right riots.
A total of 6,000 elite officers were deployed to stop violence erupting in areas including London, Liverpool, Sheffield and Birmingham.
Yesterday Derek Drummond, 58, was locked up for three years for punching a cop in Southport last Tuesday.
The haulier from Liverpool, since sacked, called officers “s***houses” then hit PC Tom Ball in the face.
Liverpool crown court heard he had a history of violence.

Meanwhile, Declan Geiran, 29, was jailed for 30 months after being caught on CCTV torching a police van in Liverpool city centre last Saturday.
Geiran also got an extra two months for sending threatening messages to a woman who blasted him for his behaviour online.
Liam Riley, 41, who drunkenly joined a march through the city, admitted violent disorder and a racially aggravated public order offence and got 20 months.
The trio are the latest to be jailed after 18-year-old James Nelson was caged for two months in Manchester on Tuesday.
Sir Keir Starmer said: “This is the swift action we’re taking.
“If you provoke violent disorder on our streets or online, you will face the full force of the law.”
Elsewhere, a man seen on TV wielding a stick as part of a counter-protest against the far-right was also remanded in custody. Shehraz Sarwar, 46, was arrested in Birmingham on Monday.
He denies possession of an offensive weapon and will appear at the city’s magistrates’ court again next week.
Meanwhile, Liam Ryan, 28, who attacked a black passer-by during violence in Manchester, admitted violent disorder and has been remanded in custody for sentencing next week.
He had travelled from his home in Bradford to “play an active role in the disorder”, Manchester magistrates’ court was told.
Elsewhere, thug Aaron Johnson, 32, who live-streamed himself ranting and spouting racial slurs outside a migrant hotel in Stockport also pleaded guilty.
He had threatened staff he would “smash their face in” and has been remanded in custody to be sentenced at Minshull Street crown court on August 21.
Another accused of violent disorder lashed out after being refused bail.
Matthew Wilson, 31, denied racially aggravated assault and making homophobic comments.
As he was remanded in custody he punched the glass of the dock and shouted obscenities at the judge.

He was hauled back to apologise after being threatened with a week-long jail term for contempt of court.
Others in court included Charlie Bullock, 21, said to be “the main instigator” of a group pushing against police in Middlesbrough.
He admitted violent disorder at Teesside magistrates’ court and faces jail today at the crown court.
On Tuesday, Bradley Makin, from Sunderland, admitted violent disorder during riots in his home city after he was also found in possession of cocaine and heroin.
He admitted the offences at South Tyneside magistrates’ court and will be sentenced this week.
Meanwhile Joshua Simpson, 25, was also warned he faces jail at a sentencing at Sheffield magistrates’ court later this month, after kicking a cop during rioting near Rotherham.
On Monday, two men and a woman who rioted in Sunderland were also facing jail.
Leanne Hodgson, 43, of Sunderland, and Josh Kellett, 29, of Washington, admitted violent disorder at South Tyneside magistrates’ court.
Andrew Smith, 41, of Sunderland, admitted the same offence at Newcastle crown court. All three will be sentenced next month.
Last night the CPS vowed it will tackle social media posts after The Sun’s call to clamp down on hate and lies.
Stephen Parkinson, Director of Public Prosecutions, said: “Anyone stirring up hateful or threatening activity on social media is potentially contributing to the violent disorder.”
Secret riot plans

FAR-RIGHT yobs are planning 11 MORE riots in secret Facebook groups so cops’ “can’t catch on” after a week of chaos, The Sun can reveal.
Protests are planned in Ballymena, Newcastle, Liverpool, Shrewsbury, Salford, Taunton, Birmingham, Dover, Bournemouth and Glasgow.
A post in a private far-right Facebook group seen by The Sun lists planned demonstrations across the UK this weekend.
The organisers plan to unleash chaos on the opening gameweek of the new English football season – before carrying on into next month.
They also plan to target Shrewsbury during the town’s Flower Show, one of the biggest gardening events in the UK.
The far-right thugs plan to start the weekend of chaos by gathering in Ballymena in Northern Ireland on Friday evening.
On Saturday far-right protesters aim to assemble in Liverpool, Shrewsbury and Salford.
Protests are planned in Taunton, Birmingham and Dover the following Saturday and in Bournemouth the day after.
And even more protests are planned next month at UK landmarks like St George’s Square in Glasgow and the Bullring in Birmingham.
The large protest in Shrewsbury is being arranged by members of the local hooligan firm English Border Front, it’s understood.
A source told The Sun: “So far this protest has been kept off social media so as to make police unaware, and think that nothing is going to happen in Shrewsbury.
“But as you can imagine if they manage to pull the wool over the authorities’ eyes, it will cause carnage.
“On August 10 there is also the Shrewsbury Flower Show taking place, so the protest has been planned to try to affect that also.”
At least 250 thugs are thought to have signed up for the Shrewsbury protest – including hooligans from firms in Newcastle and Oldham.
