PC gamers can save big with massive price drop on two games including a new release
GAMERS can save up to $80/£66 in a new PC gaming deal that sees a recent release and big name title given away for free.
Anyone can pick up the offer, which will be available for the next week, and all they require is a gaming PC to play the games on.
Cygni is the latest SHMUP by Konami[/caption]Epic Games gives away free games to PC players every week, and you can build up a strong library of games as long as you have an Epic Games account.
The account is also free to sign up to, so all of these free games come with no strings attached.
While these are usually smaller or older games, now and again Epic Games offers people some big hitters to add to their libraries.
That’s the case this week as two big-name games are available for free on the storefront, including a title that launched just a few days ago.
The first game being given away on the Epic Games Store this week is DNF Duel, a popular fighting game from 2022.
The 2.5D action fighting game features 16 characters and is known for its easy to learn yet difficult to master playstyle.
It features nine different ways to play, including Ranked Matches, Player Matches, Ranking, Free Battle, Story Mode, Arcade Mode, Survival Mode, Training Mode, and Tutorials.
Developed by Arc System Works, known for its impressive line up of fighters, it usually costs $50/£41, but is available for absolutely nothing over the next seven days.
The second game available for free this week is Cygni: All Guns Blazing, a bullet-hell shoot ‘em up that was released just a few days ago on August 6, 2024.
While Cygni has difficulty settings, true to the genre it can be particularly challenging, and will take a number of attempts to master.
There are seven missions in the game, ranging from nine to 15 minutes each, but they will take you far longer to complete.
If you are already a SHMUP master, you can try Arcade Mode, which forces you through all the levels in order on a single life.
Cygni: All Guns Blazing usually costs $30/£25 but is free for the next seven days.
Both games are available until Thursday, August 15, 2024, when they will be replaced by more free games.
To claim them, you will need an Epic Games account, and you need to install the free Epic Games Launcher if you want to play them.
