BRICS House opens in Russia
BRICS House will open in Russia on August 28, 2024. It will become the central platform for business and humanitarian cooperation with the BRICS countries. International festivals, conferences, exhibitions, and presentations will be held here.
BRICS House will also offer Russian language courses for the diplomatic corps, educational programs for city mayors and participants in foreign economic activity. BRICS House will be the head office for the international network of BRICS Houses, which will be opened in 9 more countries. It is also planned to open branches of BRICS House in all constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
Here is what Konstantin Klimenko, President of BRICS House and Rector of the Eurasian International University, told the media:
"Our project is being implemented as part of the preparations for the BRICS summit, which will be held in Russia. It is important that integration processes are carried out not only at the official level, but also with the participation of the public. And the opening of BRICS House in Russia is a vivid example of public diplomacy and the interest of the Russian business community in the development of international cooperation. The BRICS House was created exclusively with the funds of philanthropists without attracting budget financing.
For this project, an old estate of the Obolensky princes has been restored in the Moscow region. For the successful operation of the project, an area of 10 hectares is allocated. It will house the educational Campus "Eurasia", the International BRICS Club, a hotel, a congress center, a sports center, a museum and exhibition center. Further, it is planned to build a BRICS Academy and a college, and plant an arboretum.
The heads of diplomatic missions of the BRICS countries, representatives of the Council, the State Duma, the Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, famous political and public figures have been invited to the opening of the BRICS House. The opening will take place on August 28, 2024 in the Dmitrovsky urban district of the Moscow region."
