Driver dead after 2-truck crash in Yacolt

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- One person is dead after a crash between two trucks near Yacolt, Wash. Wednesday night, according to the Clark County Sheriff's Office.

At around 7:15 p.m., deputies responded to the 29700 block of Northeast Railroad Avenue on the report of the crash. One of the trucks had also caught fire before hitting a tree.

Despite lifesaving measures by paramedics, one of the drivers died from their injuries, officials said.

No further information, including the identity of the victim, has been released at this time.

The crash is currently under investigation by the Clark County Traffic Homicide Unit.
