New Mexican restaurant opening in Glens Falls

GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Mike and Jenna Fernandez opened Tres Mijas Mexican Food Truck in May of 2022. Now, they are expanding Tres Mijas by opening a restaurant at 21 Bay Street in Glens Falls.

"We knew when opening the food truck that a permanent location is a direction we may end up going but was not something we wanted to rush into," Mike Fernandez told NEWS10. "Location was a major factor. We knew we wanted to be in Glens Falls."

The Tres Mijas Mexican Food Truck serves taquitos, tacos, burritos, and enchiladas. For the restaurant, Fernandez said they will be expanding on that menu to include fajitas, tamales, and tostadas, as well as adding alcohol.

Fernandez said they plan to open the Tres Mijas restaurant for take-out toward the end of September and then open for dine-in when they get their liquor license. The eatery will be open for lunch and dinner. The Fernandezes also plan on keeping the food truck up and running.
