Paramount Global plans to reduce about 15 percent of its US workforce in the coming weeks, executives said during an earnings call on Thursday. This reduction comes in preparation for a planned merger with Skydance Media, announced in July, following their co-production of the 2022 film "Top Gun: Maverick.
