Man arrested for coffee shop knife attack
A 46-year-old man from the Famagusta district was arrested on Thursday night after having allegedly attacked someone with a knife inside a coffee shop.
The police said a 41-year-old man had complained to the police that at around 12.30pm on Thursday, he had been in a coffee shop in his village when a man began to attack him with a knife.
The 41-year-old was taken to the Larnaca general hospital, where doctors determined that he had sustained injuries to his ear, shoulder, and forearm, caused by a “sharp object”.
They administered first aid treatment and discharged him, before tracking down the 46-year-old and arresting him.
The police’s investigation into the matter is ongoing.
