Paris Fury pays emotional tribute to daughter Athena’s ‘rough start in life’ as she celebrated her third birthday
PARIS Fury has paid tribute to her youngest daughter on her third birthday and recalled the little one’s “rough start in life”.
The mum-of-seven welcomed Athena, who the Fury family have affectionately nicknamed Fairy, in August 2021 with boxing champ Tyson.
Athena is the second youngest child of Paris, 34, and Tyson,35.
They also share Venezuela, 14, Prince John James, 11, Prince Tyson II (also known as Tutty), eight, Valencia, six, Prince Adonis Amaziah, five, and baby Rico, 11 months.
Athena celebrated her third birthday with a “pink party” at make-up brand PLouise’s Pink Island Cafe in Stockport.
Paris shared an Instagram post of the birthday girl and Valencia in matching bespoke dresses.
“After such a rough start to life I’d have never dreamed she would be so clever, beautiful and amazing,” the doting mum penned in the caption.
Paris has previously been open about the horrifying moment that Athena was “dying in her arms” following her traumatic birth.
She was born with a fast heartbeat of 300 beats per minute – while the norm is around the 120 beats mark.
As reported in 2021, medics tried to slow it down but it caused “a load of other complications”, according to Paris.
As a result, Athena was transferred from the Royal Lancaster Infirmary to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool.
The Fury family then endured a nightmare two weeks when the little one was placed into a neo-natal intensive care unit [NICU].
Paris bravely opened up again about the traumatic experience in her second book, How Does She Do It? The Kids, Tyson & Me.
Released September 2023, the mum-of-seven shared that she had never felt so fragile and helpless than in those moments.
“It was clear Athena was having the fight of her life, and that any deterioration might cause her to slip away at any moment,” she penned.
“Suddenly she became pale, floppy and unresponsive and I could see she’d stopped breathing.

Tyson was raised in an Irish Traveller family in Wythenshawe, Manchester, while Paris was raised in a traditional traveller family in Doncaster, South Yorks.
The pair first met when she was 15-years-old at a mutual friend’s wedding.
They met again by chance at Paris’ 16th birthday and wed two years later in a traditional wedding in 2008.
The lovebirds tied the knot at St. Peter-in-Chains Catholic Church in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, and invited 300 guests to the special day.
“My blood ran cold and I let out a piercing scream – ‘MY BABY’S DYING!’ I shouted as a nurse immediately hit the red emergency buzzer.”
Paris and Tyson were eventually allowed to bring little Athena home on August 20, 2021.
The heavyweight champ was full of praise for the staff at the Alder Hey Family House Trust, who had nursed the tot back to health.
Speaking at the time, he said: “I’m just here feeding my little girl.
“Off the ICU, on the mend, should be going home soon.
“Thank you to God and thank you to all the doctors and nurses who have helped her.”
