External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has stated that the Indian government is awaiting the release of 69 Indians recruited into the Russian army, citing misled cases. The government has taken up the issue of recruitment and cyber crime trafficking to South East Asian countries. Jaishankar said that the Russian authorities maintain that Indian nationals entered into contracts for services with the Russian army, but the Indian government is not necessarily subscribing to such contracts.
