Twenty years ago, the U.S.-led international coalition invaded the sovereign state of Iraq. Thus began Operation Iraqi Freedom. The United Stated claimed that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction, and that the country's leader, Saddam Hussein, was a threat to global security. Years later, the United States admitted that they made a mistake: Iraq had no chemical, biological or nuclear weapons.
