VOLUMINOUS curls can be kept bouncy and free from frizz with the right bargain buys, according to a beauty enthusiast.

Cezara Robu shared how she keeps her tailbone-length hair which was inherited from her grandmother in perfect condition.

The civil servant, 26, from London, has a legion of subscribers on YouTube, where she shares beauty and wellness tips.

Speaking to The U.S. Sun, she revealed the products and tools she swears by for nurturing curly tresses.

GRATEFUL FOR GRANDMA

Robu said both of her parents have thick hair but most of her family members prefer to keep their locks short.

She said seeing her mom and dad in their 60s has shown that genetics plays a key role in the thickness of her own locks.

“My grandma had beautiful curly hair in her 80s, and I am so lucky to have inherited her gorgeous curls,” she said.

“My parents credit the health of their hair to good nutrition and are always ready to share health recommendations.

“They’ve tried to keep straighteners away from me and my brothers and reinforced the idea that our natural hair is beautiful, which I’m very thankful for.”

WONDERFUL WASHES

Robu said she doesn’t need to wash her curls more than once every five to six days.

She revealed that an often demonized ingredient is a staple in her haircare routine.

“I’ve always been a fan of drugstore shampoos and I don’t run away from sulfates,” she said

“My hair feels really clean afterward and all product build-up is removed.”

She currently uses L’oreal Elvive shampoo and conditioner which cost $4.99 each at CVS.

Both of the budget-friendly haircare products have been highly rated by shoppers.

“I shampoo twice and only apply the conditioner to the lengths,” Robu said.

“It’s simple but quite effective. Since my hair is healthy at the moment I don’t use masks, but I’m looking into trying some.”

SIMPLE STYLES

Robu said there are several reasons why her hair is always worn down unless it’s covered with a bonnet.

“I prefer how it looks down much more than any other hairstyle,” she said.

“I also want to keep my curls looking nice and bouncy for as long as I can.

“Putting them in a ponytail or a bun is guaranteed to stretch them and ruin my wash-day efforts.

“Besides that, I’m very tender-headed so any up-do for a long period of time will pull on my scalp and be quite painful.”

Nowadays I find myself styling my hair with no hair brush, and I love the results even more.

She said many people are unaware of how damaging their daily hairstyles can be for their hair health.

Tight hairstyles such as ponytails are off-limits for more than a few hours for her.

“On the days I decide to tie my hair, I opt for braids, a low ponytail, or a low, loose bun and wear satin scrunchies,” she said.

“Similarly, I avoid tying my hair in the same exact spot all the time.

“This can create breakage at the point of contact with the hair tie, especially if the hair tie is not silk or satin.”

TERRIFIC TOOLS

Robu rarely uses a hairbrush to style her tresses because it’s time-consuming and difficult on long hair.

However, on special occasions when she wants her curls to be perfect she uses a buy available from Target.

“For the perfect spiral style, I use the Denman D81M, which is perfect for creating tension and giving you a frizz-free curl,” she said.

“I want to try the new viral hair brush from Bounce Curl, hopefully, I will get my hands on it soon.

“Nowadays I find myself styling my hair with no hair brush, and I love the results even more.

“I find that the extra frizz makes for a more voluminous and natural look.”

She revealed the Dyson Diffuser is an “essential” tool in her daily styling routine.

“Even though I don’t cup my hair with the diffuser attachment, it still plays a big role in drying my hair super curly and bouncy,” she said.

“The longer we leave the water in our hair, the more stretched the curls will turn out.”

Whether “long, short, frizzy, defined, straight,” Robu said people should embrace their natural hair if they want it to grow.

“We’re all just trying to figure it out and there’s already so much pressure on having the perfect, long, defined, spiral curls,” she said.

“If you want to wear it straight, go for it. If you want to embrace the frizz, do it.

“But if you want to grow it long, have patience and follow my tips.”
