A trainee sub-inspector in Noida, Amit Mishra, was arrested for extortion after forcibly taking Rs 7,000 from a cab driver, Rupesh Tomar. With accomplices Ashish and Abhinav, Mishra intercepted the cab, seized the cash, and initially gave Tomar back Rs 500. The complaint led to Mishra's arrest and disciplinary action against other officers involved.
