With viral TikToks, Malta car dealership goes to corporate
MALTA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Mohawk Chevrolet, located at 639 Route 67 in Malta, has been gaining online attention over the past few months with its parody TikToks of the "The Office" called "The Dealership." For its 11th episode, "The Dealership" team was invited to General Motors corporate headquarters in Detroit.

"We were so honored to be invited by Chevrolet to visit GM headquarters," said Grace Kerber of Mohawk Chevrolet. "We had an absolute blast making this episode and even being so far from Mohawk we felt right at home with the corporate team. Meeting Mary was such a cool experience. She was so kind and fun to shoot with. We loved that she wanted to be a part of the series."
Mohawk Chevrolet's first episode of "The Dealership" was posted on June 21 and involved a prank about hiding small duck figurines around the dealership. That TikTok gained over 251,000 views. In total, the Mohawk Chevrolet TikTok account has over 148,000 followers and 1.5 million likes.
"What our team has done has been simply amazing,” said Andy Guelcher, owner of Mohawk Chevrolet. "The work they have put into perfecting 'The Dealership' series has put them in front of millions of eyeballs. We were honored to be able to work directly with GM to film an episode with CEO Mary Barra and her team. We look forward to what’s next for our team and this series."
