Second man arrested for hooliganism
A 22-year-old suspected for vandalizing two Limassol-affiliated sports premises was arrested on Friday, according to police.
The incident unfolded on May 16, where some 15 hooded individuals broke into Apollon Limassol’s indoor stadium and smashed glass panes, wrecked the canteen and broke a TV set shortly before midnight.
The group then went into a neighbouring AEL-affiliated cafeteria and damaged four vehicles parked outside.
The 22-year-old faces charges including conspiracy to commit a crime, hooliganism, causing malicious damage, burglary and theft.
A 23-year-old is currently serving a remand order for the same incident.
