10 firefighters injured battling house fire in Queens: FDNY
FLUSHING, Queens (PIX11) -- Ten firefighters were injured while battling a fire at a residence in Flushing Friday morning, according to the FDNY.
The fire broke out in the attic of a two-story residential building at 45-32 170th Street, officials said.
106 EMS and fire personnel responded to the scene. Four firefighters sustained minor injuries while the other sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to the FDNY. They were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The fire was under control by 1:42 p.m., officials said. The wind had no impact on fire operations.
