On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi committed to providing complete support for the rehabilitation of those displaced by the recent landslides and flash floods in Kerala’s Wayanad district. After an aerial survey and visits to relief camps and a local hospital, Modi, accompanied by Governor Arif Mohammad Khan and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, reviewed the damage in Punchiri Mattam, Mundakkai, and Chooralmala. The Prime Minister assured that the Centre and the nation would stand by the victims and that disaster management funds would be promptly released.
