Report: Tottenham plan two more senior departures after Oliver Skipp
Oliver Skipp is on his way to Leicester City, but the exodus at Tottenham Hotspur may not be over just yet. Apparently, the club has two more players to move on, and maybe even a third.
Clearance sale at Spurs
It has been a busy summer for Tottenham, with Ange Postecoglou managing to clear out a lot of the unwanted deadwood in his squad.
Some players have been released on free transfers, others have only been able to secure loan moves, and a small handful have brought in funds for the Lilywhites with permanent sales.
Skipp is the latest to join the list for the latter, with the academy graduate on the verge of joining Leicester in a reported £25m deal (Evening Standard).
Now, a report from The Times suggests there are still more depart in the next couple of weeks before the transfer window shuts.
It is thought Giovani Lo Celso will be among the exits by the end of the month. Spurs want to offload the Argentine midfielder, as he is now into the final year of his contract.
The report adds Manor Solomon to the list, stating the winger is likely to leave the club on loan this month.
Don’t forget about Sergio Reguilon
One name the report misses is Sergio Reguilon, who is widely expected to leave Tottenham this summer.
The full-back has been out on loan for the last couple of seasons, at Atletico Madrid, Brentford, and Manchester United.
It is said the Spaniard is desperate to leave Spurs before the transfer window shuts (Football Insider).
Spurs Web Opinion
Those three names make absolute sense to move on. Solomon does not have a role to play at all, Lo Celso is a case of cashing in while we can, and Reguilon clearly doesn’t want to be here.
I think we’ve done really at moving on players this summer, and it’s something that was desperately needed.
