Lend a hand at the Acorn this Bank Holiday weekend
This August Bank Holiday Monday (that’s next Monday, the 26th) we’re holding our premier ‘Open’ competition of the year, the GAC Acorn Tournament.
This is a UK Record Status shoot, and we are expecting up to 120 archers from clubs across the South East and further afield. It’s a great spectacle and also an important fundraiser for the Club.
As ever, there are lots of jobs that need doing for a tournament like this, so we need your help. It’s always fun to be part of the GAC support team, and if lots of you commit to do at least one thing, it’ll be a breeze!

We’re making a special plea for the tastiest job of all, the BBQ Crew. Our big gas bbq is perfect for cooking everyone’s favourite archery breakfast – bacon butties! At lunch the menu flips to burgers on buns. The more hands the better to help take orders, cook, butter, serve and take payments. Sign up and state BBQ CREW and the timeslot you can do.
