BJP leader Kiran Choudhry has filed her nomination for the Rajya Sabha bypoll from Haryana, with support from Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and several BJP MLAs. Choudhry, who recently switched from Congress to BJP, resigned from the Vidhan Sabha before being named the BJP's nominee. The bypoll was triggered by Congress leader Deepender Singh Hooda's election to the Lok Sabha. With the BJP's majority in the assembly, Choudhry is expected to win the seat. The election is set for September 3.
