Two children injured in Paphos traffic accident
Two minors were hit by a car and injured while riding a bicycle in Paphos, police reported on Wednesday.
According to the police, the incident happened at 9.30pm on Monday night, when a 32-year-old man in his car collided with a bicycle on which the two children, aged 12 and 14, were riding.
The bicycle overturned and the two minors fell to the ground sustaining injuries.
They were transported by ambulance to the Paphos general hospital’s emergency department, where the doctor on duty determined that the 12-year-old had escaped with minor abrasions to his legs while the 14-year-old suffered a fractured right ankle.
Police carried out a breathalyzer test on the driver with negative result.
Police are investigating the exact causes of the accident.
