When, where, and how to watch Tottenham vs Everton in the Premier League
Tottenham Hotspur won’t have long to stew over their disappointing draw to Leicester City as their next Premier League game is just around the corner. Here are all the details for Spurs vs Everton.
Ange Postecoglou had to wait until Monday night to get the Premier League season underway, and a difficult away trip to Leicester saw the Lilywhites return to North London with just one point.
Despite dominating the first hour of the game, Spurs were sucker-punched by a Jamie Vardy equaliser and were unable to re-establish control over the tie.
Next up is a clash with Sean Dyche’s Everton, who were humbled by Brighton on the opening day of the season.
When and where is the game?
Spurs will host Everton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The game is scheduled for Saturday, August 24, with a 3 pm kick-off.
How to watch Spurs vs Everton
As the game is a 3 pm kick-off, there is no way to watch Spurs vs Everton live unless you get a ticket to the match.
Your best bet otherwise is to hold out for the highlights and analysis on BBC’s Match of the Day on Saturday night or Sunday morning.
Team news
Spurs may well be without Rodrigo Bentancur for the visit of Everton, as the midfielder appeared to suffer a concussion in the game against Leicester City on Monday.
Bentancur spent almost ten minutes on the ground in the second half after a clash of heads, and was carried off on a stretcher.
While Postecoglou offered positive news after the game, stating Bentancur had sat up and had been speaking, concussion protocols insist players do not return to action for a week after an incident.
There is also some concern over Pedro Porro, who hobbled off the pitch in the Leicester game. It remains to be seen whether that knock will keep him out or if he is fit to go on Saturday.
It is also unknown whether Yves Bissouma‘s internal suspension will be lifted by the club. The midfielder was excluded from the Leicester game after sharing videos of himself using laughing gas.
Fraser Forster is still injured with no return date known at this stage. We are also unlikely to see Sergio Reguilon, Giovani Lo Celso, or Manor Solomon in the squad as they are all exploring moves away from the club.
Everton will almost certainly be without Youssef Chermiti, Nathan Patterson, James Garner, and Seamus Coleman, who are all injured. There is a small chance Jarrad Branthwaite will be back from his pelvic injury.
Ashley Young is suspended for the game after picking up a red card in his last match.
The Spurs Web prediction
This is going to be a very difficult game. Everton may have been beaten comfortably by Brighton last weekend, but that will only make them want this even more, especially at our place. I think (and hope) we can scrape a tight game with a 2-1 win.
