Death in Paradise star opens up on show return – just months after exit from BBC drama
DEATH in Paradise star Joséphine Jobert addressed the possibility of a return for DS Florence Cassell after being questioned by fans.
Death in Paradise fans were heartbroken when the beloved character left Saint Marie in emotional scenes that aired earlier this year.

The 39-year-old took to her Instagram Stories to respond to questions about her time on the BBC drama.
One fan asked: “I’m sure you’ve been asked a million times but… are you ever going back to Saint Marie?”
Joséphine answered: “Yes, it’s true, people still ask me this question a lot and I think it’s really nice of them (of you). But sadly the answer is… no.”
Another fan quizzed: “Will you be back to Death In Paradise at least as a guest?”
To which she replied: “I already left and came back way too many times [laughing and heart emoji]. I think its definitely the end for me on Death In Paradise.”
The actress made a comeback in the tenth and 11th seasons of the show before departing once again.
Joséphine returned for Ralf’s final scenes as he bid an emotional farewell.
EastEnders star, Don Gillet, was then unveiled as the replacement for actor Ralf Little.
The 57-year-old is best known for playing serial killer preacher Lucas Johnson in Walford.
Don will play Detective Inspector Mervin WiIson who arrives in Saint Marie from London.
The actor will be introduced onscreen to fans during Death in Paradise’s Christmas special this year before the 14th series kicks off in 2025.

Death In Paradise started in 2011 and has welcomed four detectives so far to the island.
These are all of the actors who have played the lead detective in the hit BBC series so far:
Ben Miller as DI Richard Poole – Actor Ben played the first ever detective from seasons 1 to 2, and then returned as a guest star in the third and tenth series.
Kris Marshall as DI Humphrey Goodman. Next up My Family star took on the role for three years from series 3 to 6.
Ardal O’Hanlon as DI Jack Mooney. Father Ted star Ardal was a fan favourite and was the detective for three seasons from series 6 to 9.
Ralf Little as DI Neville Parker. The actor started in 2019 and is the longest-running star to have the detective role. He was on the show for four seasons from 9 to 13.
