You’ll Never Miss a Cinematrix Again
It wasn’t long after Cinematrix launched in late February that the requests started coming in, desperate pleas from newly arriving players who wanted to tackle the grids they had missed:
“We humbly request, as your biggest fans, for an archive to be put in place so we can play more of them during the day. I don’t know when you started this, so maybe there aren’t many games in the backlog, but I would like to exhaust all options … If an archive is not available, that’s okay. We will continue to love you just the same.” —Matthew
And …
“I am LOVING the new Cinematrix puzzle. It was kismet that I discovered it on the first day that y’all put it out. I’ve told all my friends about it, too … I’m loving it and wish there were more in the archives to do because I’m addicted.” —Sarah
Well, Matthew and Sarah and everyone else who has asked, good news: We’ve launched a Cinematrix Archive just for you (plus the rest of New York subscribers).
Starting today, Cinematrix completionists can visit our new hub to play the 13 most recent grids plus a selection of permanent fan favorites. Revisit special stand-alone games produced in collaboration with our friends at Criterion and the Cut, themed editions we made for the premiere of Challengers and other occasions of note, or that one grid from last week you just didn’t have a chance to play. You can also get a refresher on the game’s quirkier rules and enjoy the Cinematrix team’s category-definition debates in our monthly “Clarifications & Corrections” columns.
Not yet a subscriber? You can sign up here. And if you do already subscribe to New York: Thanks! Why are you still here reading? Those old grids aren’t going to solve themselves.
