Patrick Mahomes responded to flag football QB Darrell Doucette's bizarre call-out with a perfect meme
No disrespect to flag football quarterback Darrell Doucette, but I think he’s got a little too much dip on the chip. I don’t know if it’s because of insecurity (probably), but he should really stop.
As signs point to NFL players trying to participate in flag football at the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics, Doucette has been vocal about how they won’t just replace long-time players of the game like himself on a whim. In a recent interview with TMZ, he went as far as to say that he’s actually better than Patrick Mahomes because he has a “better IQ” for the game.
You know, the very same Mahomes with three Super Bowl wins (and counting), three Super Bowl MVPs (and counting), and two NFL MVPs (and counting) for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Needless to say, Doucette’s assessment is false, false, FALSE on every count, even if he is likely only trying to get some attention with his comments.
When Mahomes caught wind of Doucette’s comparison, he didn’t roast the flag footballer. Instead, he took the high road, wondering why Doucettee felt the need to mention and blast him in the first place with the famous 50 Cent meme where the rapper asks, “I’m like, what he say [expletive] me for?

Mahomes is a better person than me because I’m not sure I would’ve been as kind to Doucette. That shows you that Mahomes also isn’t insecure about his accomplishments and standing in football. He knows he’s special. He knows he doesn’t have to tear down a clearly inferior athlete and football player — in every way, let’s not even kid ourselves — who is trying to punch up with weird call-outs. Mahomes’ play speaks for itself.
As for Doucette, well, if NFL players really want to play flag football at the Olympics, I wouldn’t hold my breath about his participation. They’re the best football players, of any kind, in the world. Now imagine skill players like Mahomes without being concerned about getting hit by a vicious pass-rusher. It’s not close.
That’s just life, man. It’s time to move on.
